Gold, stealing is stealing anywhere, no matter how cheap the stuff is. it's not like he can't afford it, he just might have an irresistible urge to pilfer. It might be a problem, or a habit born out of constant practice. maybe dude grew up hungry and can't ditch the habit now dat he has struck it rich, lol.
