As the topic states.

What's your favourite AWD family sedan or wagon? This doesn't include SUV's or Jeeps. Just one vehicle too, so no picking one, and stating you also like another. You can pick one sedan and one wagon, but they MUST be AWD.

My favourite AWD family wagon:

2009 Audi RS6 Avant, 5,0L V10 2 x DOHC TFSI, 571 bhp, 650 Nm (479 ft-lbf). 0-60 mph (100 km/h) 4,4 secs. Maximum speed 155,3 mph (251 km/h).





My favourite AWD family sedan:

2007 Audi S8, 5,2L V10 2 x DOHC FSI, 450 bhp, 540 Nm (398 ft-lbf). 0 - 60 mph (100 km/h) 4,8 secs. Maximum speed 155.3 mph (251 km/h).

And Audi's not just the only German manufacturer, but the only manufacturer worldwide, that offers AWD on ALL the models under their Brand. Audi were the first in the world to mass-produce a passenger car with permanent AWD, back in 1980. Regular passenger car, not AWD SUV / offroaders.  cool

My favorite AWD family sized sedan is 2010 Ford Taurus, 3.5L V6, 365 bhp. The car makes sense!

The best I think is the Cadillac CTS-V sedan, it has beaten the AUDI and BMW RS5

Sultaan, the Caddy's good, but it's not AWD, so doesn't fit here. Besides, it was compared with an Audi Coupe, the RS5. Compared with the 2011> Audi S8 (which I didn't list here, as I've not driven one yet) or the Audi RS6 (even the older C5 model) the results will be pretty different.

Besides, the Audi and BMW engines are more efficient - with a 2,0/2,2L deficit over the Caddy, they are also naturally-aspirated, so the comparisons used would naturally yield the expected results. wink

My choice on this one is the Subaru outback, AWD has always fascinated me. Will like to own one sometime.
