The Redmi 12 is a smartphone that comes in three colours: Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Polar Silver. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor which has a 12nm manufacturing process. The processor has 2 x Arm Cortex-A75 @ 2GHz and 6 x Arm Cortex-A55 @ 1.8GHz. The GPU is Arm Mali-G52.
The phone comes in three storage and RAM configurations: 4GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. It uses LPDDR4X + eMMC 5.1 technology and supports expandable storage of up to 1TB.

The rear camera is a triple camera setup with a resolution of 50MP+8MP+2MP. The main camera has an f/1.8 aperture while the ultra-wide camera has a FOV of 120° and an f/2.2 aperture. The macro camera has an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera can record videos at resolutions of up to 1080P (1920x1080) at 30fps or at resolutions of up to 720P (1280x720) at 30fps.

The front camera is an 8MP camera with an f/2.1 aperture that can record videos at resolutions of up to 1080P (1920x1080) at 30fps or at resolutions of up to 720P (1280x720) at 30fps.

The phone is powered by a large battery with a capacity of 5000mAh that supports 18W fast charging via USB-C.

It features a side fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock for security.

It also has NFC functionality which may vary between markets.

The phone supports dual SIM cards or one SIM card and one MicroSD card (up to 1TB expandable). It supports the following network bands: GSM:2/3/5/8, WCDMA:1/5/8, LTE FDD:1/3/5/7/8/20/28, LTE TDD:38/40/41.

It also supports wireless networks such as WiFi (2.4GHz | 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, FM radio (with headphone jack) and navigation & positioning technologies such as GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou.

It has an audio jack for headphones and is splash, water and dust resistant with an IP53 rating.

The phone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
