ALLEGORY OF THE CHICKEN AND THE BASKET.

The chicken, a loquacious and disrespectful bird saw an old basket lying quietly in one corner of the compound and, without any provocation began to throw abuses at it, "you good for nothing basket, always lying around and waiting to be moved. Look at your rough and scattered mouth (edges)". As the basket ignored the chicken's tantrums, the chicken, to further deride the basket leaped on it with the intention to defecate on it but, like the speed of light, the basket overturned and covered the chicken.

Unable to escape, the chicken remained there till Nneobu, the owner of the chicken and the basket returned home, saw the chicken covered by the basket and decided to slaughter it for dinner.
