Enough is Enough!

It is disheartening to witness our own brothers wishing us dead. We returned to Awka around 1PM this afternoon after a successful outing in Asaba, only to find our pictures circulating all over social media, especially on TikTok, falsely claiming that we have passed away. "RIP" was boldly written all over our images, perpetuating the false news of our demise. What hurts the most is that this misinformation is being spread by our fellow Igbo brothers, who happen to be bloggers. If you lack content, consider closing your page and finding other meaningful pursuits. Using our names to chase clout will not lead you anywhere.

In a society that values talents, we should be celebrated, appreciated, and awarded for the achievements we accomplished with Ojapiano, proudly bringing the Igbo identity to the global map. However, instead of support, we are faced with malevolent wishes in return. It is even more disheartening that we have yet to profit from our music, yet we are being pulled down in such devilish ways. None of these bloggers seem to consider the emotional toll this takes on the young and talented Ojazzy.

We will be taking legal action against anyone who posted this on their social media handles. We won't let it slide. It should also serve as a warning to anyone who might have such intentions in the future. We earnestly request that this be the last time such a thing happens. Let us learn to support our own; if we were from different tribes, we are certain we wouldn't be treated in such a malicious manner.

We are open to collaborating with anyone who appreciates our work. Igbo na eme nwanne, let love lead.
