But what is actually the rationale behind the fact that year in and out, government officials waste tax payers' resources sponsoring pilgrims going on religious endeavours that add absolutely no value or benefits to our economy? Nigeria is the only secular country where even the federal government spends millions of naira on hajj trips to Mecca and every other nonsensical religious trips, to the point even our scarce forex resources are subsidised for this stupid purpose.

Shouldn't an individual's decision to go worship in some sacred city thousands of miles away, be funded from his pocket? Too many things are a mess in this country and we just carry on like they are norms and part of our way of life..

Tomorrow some children from these countries will wake up and begin asking how Nigeria has helped them forgetting the risks and blood involved.

The last time our boys tried to force Abiola's Presidency, the plane they hijacked landed in Niger.... But, Ninjas from Niger had to help arrest this boys and some spent up to 10yrs behind bars.

Obasanjo would have immediately forced the Coupist to handover to a civilian government in Niger.
He did it in Togo in 2005. Since 2007 Nigeria has been producing weaklings as president which has made us lose our international giant status in Africa.

You`re dam right!

Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president of Nigeria, played a significant role in the Togolese democratic transition in 2005. When Togolese President Gnassingbé Eyadema died in February 2005, his son Faure Gnassingbé attempted to seize power by having himself declared president by the military. This move was met with widespread protests and condemnation from the international community.

Obasanjo, who was the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at the time, took a leading role in mediating the crisis. He traveled to Togo and met with both Faure Gnassingbé and the opposition leaders. He also imposed economic sanctions on Togo in an effort to pressure the military to step aside and allow for democratic elections.

In the end, Obasanjo's efforts were successful. Faure Gnassingbé agreed to step down and allow for elections to be held. The elections were held in April 2005 and were won by the opposition candidate, Faure Gnassingbé's cousin, Emmanuel Akitani-Bobo.

Obasanjo's role in the Togolese democratic transition was praised by many observers. He was credited with helping to prevent a coup d'état and with ensuring that the country held free and fair elections. His actions helped to strengthen democracy in Togo and in West Africa as a whole.

In addition to his role in the Togolese democratic transition, Obasanjo also made significant contributions to Nigeria. He helped to de-politicize the military, expand the police, and combat widespread ethnic, religious, and secessionist violence. He also oversaw a period of economic growth and development in Nigeria.

Obasanjo's legacy is mixed. He is both praised and criticized for his actions as president. However, there is no doubt that he played a significant role in the Togolese democratic transition and in the development of Nigeria.

What military might are you talking about?

When it's comes to military, Nigeria is ranked zero. The only thing Nigeria have are ill-trained soldiers that can stage war with unarmed citizens and defeat them but still sustain losses.

I still don't understand why such hatred for your fatherland...

Nigeria military is rank 4th in Africa by Pwrindex out of 50+ countries, and no 1 in West Africa...

The matter of Terrorism, if the Govt is ready to wipe out BH in 24 hours, they know what to do..

Nigeria Army position in the war against internal terrorism has been defensive, the new COAS know what he was saying when begging Governors to give him a chance, up till this moment, none of the Governors in the North East supported such move

of course immediately anyone says the truth about Nigeria, they'll say he hates Nigeria. Nigerians lovers of evil hates the truth with so much passion.

APC and their propaganda machine don Brain wash you no be small.

Had been you were talking about SA military, Egypt military, Tunisia, etc I for take you serious. But unfortunately You're talking about an insane country like Nigeria! What a huge joke! A sovereign nation

It doesn't work like that

No country has power to enter another country to fight or arrest anyone except the president or chief of staff or officials give the go ahead else war breaks out....you can only stay afar and make calls for peaceful negotiations
