Cost and Efficiency Analysis of Gas (LPG) versus Petrol (PMS) for Powering Generators!

Introduction:
In 2012, we understood the concept of powering generators with Gas (LPG) instead of Petrol (PMS) and provided training to numerous individuals. However, the innovation faced limited acceptance at that time. Today, we are witnessing a significant shift in favor of this innovation, with widespread acceptance.

Research Findings:
After conducting a comprehensive study, the following results were obtained:

1. Cost Analysis:
- N1800 provided 3KG of Gas at N600 per KG.
- N1800 provided 2.92Litres of Petrol at N617 per Litre (Note: prices may vary in different states).

2. Generator Runtime Analysis:
- N1800 worth of Gas powered a 3.5KVA generator for 9 Hours 4 minutes.
- N1800 worth of Petrol powered the same 3.5KVA generator for 4 Hours 23 minutes.

Conclusion:
Based on the analysis, using Gas (LPG) to power the generator yields significant cost savings. When compared to Petrol (PMS), Gas demonstrates higher efficiency, lasting more than twice as long on the same amount of fuel. Specifically, utilizing Gas saves a minimum of N211.33 per Hour, making it a compelling and cost-effective choice for powering generators.

This research showcases the growing acceptance and benefits of adopting Gas (LPG) as an alternative fuel source for generators, offering both economic advantages and increased operational efficiency.

Professional Installation and Product Costs:
1. Carburetors:
- LFC016: Small Carburetor for Generators of 2KVA - 3.6KVA (Manual Choke): N15,000
- LFC017: Big Carburetor for Generators of 3.8KVA - 13KVA (Manual Choke): N23,000
- LFC018: Big Carburetor for Generators of 3.8KVA - 13KVA (Automatic Choke): N23,000

2. Other Accessories:
- Hose and Clip: N2,500 - N4,000
- Gas Regulator: N2,000 - N4,000
- Gas Cylinder: Cost varies based on size.

3. Installation Service Charge: N10,000

Note: If you already possess Hose, Gas Regulator, and Gas Cylinder, additional purchases are not necessary.
