What happens in Indianapolis?
I think you should just use your phone YOUTUBE and start watching any videos about US cities to have a feeling of their country.
So far, I have learnt that TEXAS has cowboys and casinos, Utah has a lot of Mormon Christian people and more snow, New York is the expensive part with lots of street beggers and criminals.
The Southern states have different sounding people and not too much black people there. Those ones don't do all this NIgga-nigga bulshit..
Just a bit rough knowledge I'm sure about US.

Don't mind OP, he is not truthful.
No embassy would reject a visa application when you have scholarship from a reputable institution.
It doesn't make sense. I know at least 20 people that has left for the USA with scholarship in the last two years.
so 20 people you know out of the millions of Nigerians that are bounced or outrightly rejected makes you an authority on visa rejection affairs.

Maybe you think I am an armchair reporter.
I saw the unfortunate ones with my " korokoro eyes" as they say.

What exactly is your submission with this comment of yours?.
That I am lying?.
Read through my post again and again and understand how on ground I was on that day.
And mind you, I said a lot of Nigerians were rejected on that day.

It was scholarship o.

Infact that one was even more devastating
If he got Scholarship of 60k, is it for masters programme of 2 years? Or Bachelors?

Some people make minor mistakes during application. I helped someone who was previously rejected to make a US visa application, and he got it (though he was so tensed because of earlier experience)

Lol. One of the reasons I believe heaven wasn't created for the black man. So far na oyibo get the place, dark skin go suffer to enter. I'll visit the US when I make money. For the meantime, make them use others shine.

Just pray because by the time you make money dollar might be $1 - N3000

By then even with your money you won't be able to go to vacation in Ghana not to talk of US.

This embassy needs to be burnt to the ground. This is one of the places that decisions of destroying Nigerians are being made. US, UK embassy and EU building in Abuja and Lagos.

21st if August, I was at the American embassy for a visa appointment.

From the period spanning 3 hours I was there, nobody left the interview room with a smile or laughter. Almost every one there was rejected.

The funniest thing about the rejection was the verdict on the light blue paper given to the intending travellers which read" you have not demonstrated that you have enough ties to bring you back to Nigeria "

In a layman's terms, it means we are suspecting that you want to japa into the US.

The most painful aspect was a lot of undergraduates that were turned down. A guy that had a $60,000 worth of scholarship was bounced too.

I saw someone who was just going on a study leave from a whole Deloitte where he works in presently in Nigeria being bounced too.
Most of the interviewers didn't even check out relevant documents of the applicants, but just drew their conclusion based on face value.

I was discussing with people and they said inasmuch as the reason for that verdict was baseless and stupid, we Nigerians are viewed as the worst of the worst world citizens to allow access into the US, irrespective of one's qualifications.
We have a government, system and people that are fantastically corrupt.
We have people who engage in and support illegalities.

Our judiciary is biased and is for the highest bidders, and our political system and elections are flawed (none is perfect anywhere in the world) but ours is glaring and very embarrassing.

Our leaders are not patriotic and that is why when we as citizens have our rights trampled on locally or internationally, nothing is done about it.
Nigeria is not regarded as anything again.
In other words, we are just seen as nothing but irritating pollutants.

So for those of you that applaud evil in this land, pray you remain forever in Nigeria because even if it is just to go and visit and come back, they will not allow you.
If you even have a scholarship or any good thing that can take you out of this country, you will be frustrated at the embassy.

And for those of you that left already and are destroying the name of Nigeria, God's punishment awaits you.
And for those that are still making us proud in the US and elsewhere, may God continue to bless your efforts

I rest my case.

If they're not corrupt, quota systems means when you attain the set quota you stop selling whatever it is your products are and attend to what you already have. Why collect money when you know you're not going to issue Visas...more like bet9ja if you ask me.
I totally agree with you. Infact Bet9ga is better and more certain to yield results

Why not follow through other foreign countries and made it a plan..... like going to Switzerland, then after some years you can now move to your dream land... AMERICA
The question is, what will the person be doing in Switzerland while waiting to get the requirements to enter US? It is not easy to get jobs in Switzerland like it is in the US that's why everybody wants to just rugged and enter US.

I don't know why people complain about this US Visa as though they don't give it out at all.
We understand that it is tough to be given US visa but once you know what you are supposed to do and you do it, you have like 80% chance already, prayer for luck will do the remaining.

US govt is now very much strict with immigration issues and has even become a political campaign issue. It has absolutely nothing to do with Nigeria!

Go and watch desperate travels on Aljazeera and the one by Anderson Cooper. Sea of heads trekking on foot from everywhere and especially latin America yet Nigerians are not there!

The money Google and co made from Nigeria in 15 months is about N2 Trillion! If Google is making such money here and you are going to beg in their country embassy, u be suegbe according to late Fela!
Bad governance and injustice which you so blindly support has no role to play in this as well? undecided

This has been their age-long practice, every Nigerian that applies to American embassy will be served his/her breakfast, it's just d timing that will be different. I had my own fair share in the year 2013/2019 the same treatment was meted out to me.

They won't even collect whatever documents u have with u for verification. I still wonder how those who got their visas do it. Those people are making a whole lots of fortune from visa applications. It's only God that will judge them.

I won't blame them because they never asked or begged us to apply their embassy.

My advice generally for guys is to try and travel to other countries... get atleast a temporary residency from that country and apply for a US visa... atleast your chances are higher den...

But coming from nigeria with just Nigeria passport... it's based on lucky... US doesn't run based system.. so its based on luck
boss what about someone whose having a US citizen come marry him here in Nigeria, how easy is it to go back to US after the marriage?
