Short Explanation

This version of FSD( Full Self Driving), therefore FSD 12, has not been rolled out to public testers. Only Mr Musk used this version over the weekend):

The comment below by a respondent on YouTube gets to the point.

" Some of you don’t seem to appreciate this is AI. There aren’t thousands of commands encoded into a stack programmed by humans… no “if x then y”. Rather, this is pure neural net trained on tons of data learning to drive by imitation. It’s a big deal.

The Car is driving itself and making decision on its own informed by what it sees with the cameras just like humans do with thire eyes and brains, working out things as they drive along. In this instance, the cars brain is neural network being devised by Elon Musk's Dojo supercomputers. Tesla cars are equipped with cameras and sensors that collect data about the surroundings. This data is used to feed into the neural network of their Autopilot system, helping the car understand and navigate its environment.

Long Explanation:

Elon Musk showcased the capabilities of FSD Beta V12 in a live 45-minute test drive on X. The software demonstrated smooth driving and obstacle navigation. A recent promise made by Musk was fulfilled, as he presented an unedited ride where the software only required driver intervention once. Additional videos will be uploaded to refine the software's skills. Despite its excellence, FSD Beta V12 is still in the finalization stage with no official release.
During the ride, the car handled obstacles with ease, including those it hadn't encountered before. Musk highlighted that the V12 software relied solely on artificial intelligence for its implementation. The journey began at Tesla's headquarters, demonstrating skills like driving on a construction road and slowing down for speed bumps without explicit programming.

Musk emphasized that the software makes autonomous decisions based on training data, not predefined code. The car even navigated a roundabout smoothly without specific programming for it. Importantly, FSD Beta V12 doesn't require an internet connection for decision-making, as all processing occurs locally.
Musk discussed the high frame rate of Tesla cars, noting that FSD Beta V12's AI-only version outperforms the mixed software-AI version. Despite camera limitations, the AI could potentially run at 50 frames per second, while roads are typically designed around 24 frames a second.

Some posts require a reasonable explanation on what the post is about. Not everyone here will understand this post on FSD so please expatiate. Thank u

Additional info, the FSD12 drive featured in the video departed from the norm, I.e vehicle was not relying on codes, this time the vehicle was apparently nigotiating traffic informed by what Dojo (supper computer/AI) fed it after learning from interpreting video footage on how good drivers manage on the roads.

Personally, I don't see how else the Super Computer can receive and understand video info in anything other than code form.
