Jagun Jagun introduces the power of Ogundiji, son of Ogunrogba. He came to save a king who used him to win wars. Then, the story proceeds to introduce Gbotija from Iwon with the ability to speak to trees.
Gbotija wants to join Ogundiji’s school of warriors to avenge his family and village. Entry to the school was gruesome. They were shot at (to get only survivors) and stripped of all properties. A spy was even stopped that way. Like the Greek story of the Trojan horse.
Their training went on for days and soon they were forced to join a war begged of them by one of Ogundiji’s patrons. Their supervisors believed the war was beneath them and decided to rest. Well, this affected the apprentice warriors.
Ogundiji, who was introducing a new type of gun to his protégé, Gbogunmi (the third most powerful warrior), suddenly got a message from his powerful bees that they were losing the war. He invoked Agemo!!!
Oh! Agemo was feisty and fast. The enemies died in their numbers. At this point, the war ended and the supervisors were punished by being placed into the dungeon with no food and water till Ogundiji was appeased.
That same night, Gbotija was rude to Ogundiji’s daughter in charge of food. What do you expect!!! Baba was punished! And there goes our cry! Yeh! Yeh!
As for our jailed supervisor, Ogundiji’s wife Erinfunto was still pleading with him when a student, Wehinwo (from Alaje village. Remember that name….) sneaked up to give them food and water. Ogundiji knew and appeared there out of thin air.
