I'm guessing the first photo is the partially collapsed road before the downpour... that the Works PR person didn't know about. How can he not know about this?? ... and still hold his job?? Lack of accountability is the biggest problem facing the country and preventing progress.

If that concrete drainage could stand, common sense should tell us that our roads should thenceforth be concrete base layered underneath before asphalt toppings.

It wasn't just a downpour on Saturday. It was a near-flood incident. I was concerned that despite the level of flooding, the rain was still coming down in torrents. Never had I experienced such in all my years residing here.

It was also a warning to us concerning our recent lack of interest as natural drainage channels are taken over by buildings and gutters are left unattended. The next Saturday CDA meeting will be very interesting.
Lagos state is generating 400 billion naira monthly and you want to go and fight yourself in CDA abi CDC meeting

Lagos is too dirty.
People will just throw trash everywhere and anyhow. From pure water sachet to empty bottle water, takeaway packs and what have you.
When I see people throw these things out on the street, I will just conclude that they are nothing but stupid animals.
Nigeria deserve whatever she is getting.
Stupid animals everywhere.
Don't quote me if you are one of them.

Are you sure this is Lagos? πŸ™„πŸ™„

According to the Afonjas, erosions only occur elsewhere.

Yorubaland is too sophisticated to experience erosion. That picture might have come from the east. It is the handiwork of ipob terrorists.
