The irony here is that the northern states opted for sharia law as the best form of the dividends of democracy after the death of Abacha to as they said to ensure that their people complied with the tenets of their religion which in turn will also ensure that the people were of a very high moral standard. Seeing the kidnappings, the brutal killings, the lack of tolerance for other faiths and the rampant corruption in high places, I will just conclude that those folks are only fooling themselves.
