Even if they'd constructed an arched sides iron bridge in some scrap yard (A Bailey Bridge ), hired a crane, lifted the construct, moved it to the site and dumped it across the ravine -Whala, they'd have had a finer, less expensive bridge than the one of this thread that didn't even last.

@ topic ... a concrete bridge with steel rods at the edge only. Was that to show there was steel in the bridge? I can o ly imagine the number of engineers with degrees that obstructed the bridge.... and the ones that certified it was built to international standards.

This is what happens when you ignore erosion and flood mitigations . The land will give way . The entire Eastern stakeholders really needs to pay attention to erosion or there won’t be any standing infrastructure in the east .

The bridge must have been showing signs of collapse as a result of age but because we have no maintenance culture in this country it's going to cost millions in repairs.
