Meet Omorinsola Omowunmi Ajike Babajide the new star to dump England for the Super Falcons of Nigeria ahead of Ethiopia Olympic qualifiers.

Omorinsola Babajide, a forward born in England, has been selected for the Super Falcons of Nigeria for the first time.

The Super Falcons' play this month against the Senior Women National Team of Ethiopia was a qualifying match for the Paris 2024 Women's Olympic Football Tournament and the 25-year-old forward from Tenerife was one of the 22 players invited to camp.

Omorinsola Omowunmi Ajike Babajide was born in London, England on the 17th of June 1998 which makes her 25 years old

Babajide, who joined Liverpool on January 25, 2018, was their second-leading goal scorer during the 2018–19 WSL season.

Born to Nigerian immigrant parents, Babajide had the option to represent England or Nigeria at the international level.

After scoring 14 goals for the University of East London women's football team in a friendly match against the University College London women's football team that ended 40-0, Babajide gained media attention in 2016.

In January 2015, she transferred from Crystal Palace Ladies to Millwall Lionesses Ladies.

Babajide now switches her allegiance to Nigeria just as Super Falcons star Ashleigh Plumptre did.

Babajide is now expected to make her debut for the Super Falcons against Ethiopia.

The first leg of the second-round match will be held in Ethiopia's capital city of Addis Abeba on Wednesday, October 25.

The second leg between the Super Falcons and Ethiopia will be held in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 31.

Nigeria, the nine-time defending champions of Africa, had a bye while Ethiopia defeated Chad in the opening round of the series.

At the 32-team FIFA Women's World Cup finals held in Australia and New Zealand in the summer, the Super Falcons came in eighth place.
