One week removed from the most humiliating defeat in their history, Manchester United will make the trip to Goodison Park in hopes of getting their season back on track. Despite the Toffees’ unimpressive league standing, the upcoming Everton v Manchester United clash will not be a match that Sir Alex will take lightly, and his 11 player changes in their midweek fixture against Aldershot proved as much.

David Moyes just can’t seem to catch a break, in the last month his side has faced Chelsea twice, Liverpool, Man City and now will host a Man United side hellbent on wiping that horrific loss to Man City from their memory. Moyes has not had the luxury of rotating his players around through multiple competitions like most other teams in the EPL, and he fielded a near full strength team against Chelsea in the midweek only to be outdone in the 116th minute by a goal from Daniel Sturridge. Royston Drenthe was sent off in that match and Tim Cahill pickced up a knock while Phil Neville had to be replaced due to an injury. This doesn’t bode well for Everton and their already tired legs, but if you can expect one thing from the Toffees, it’s them to put up a good fight as they have managed to do all throughout the season despite their unfavorable schedule and financial turmoil that has stripped much of their talent not to be replenished at any point during the transfer window.

Some say that Manchester United’s downfall was a long time coming, but no one could have predicted the manner in which they were trashed by what now has to be, their biggest rivals. It’s not as if United had any excuses either, fielding arguably their strongest team (with the exception of Evans who for some reason was playing ahead of Vidic), it’s just that Man City seemed to have Man United’s number. Regardless, Sir Alex has been in the business long enough to not panic over a single match, but even he has faced criticism over his questionable tactics heading into big matches. His completely new look side had no trouble getting past Aldershot Town in the midweek but the focus has always been on league competition where United could fall as low as 5th if they fail to secure a win. The Red Devils have failed to get the win at Goodison Park in the Everton v Man Utd fixture in their last 3 attempts, so this one should be a dog fight from start to finish.

Who wrote this silly stuff. This person would have been better analyzing neighborhood gossip.

Questions:

1. Is this the largest margin this season?

2. Head to head, do man city have a better record?

3. Does losing one match means man u is a crumbling empire?

4. Does the match reflect change in position on the league table?

5. Whats the hue about?

# 16:11 Wayne Rooney has shot on goal from just outside the box which goes wide of the right-hand upright.

# Javier Hernandez fires in a goal from inside the six-yard box to the bottom right corner of the goal.
Everton 0-1 Man Utd.

The 4-3-3 was ok defensively and Javier, Tom and Welbeck looked good together. God I miss Berbatov. . .alot.
Kept asking myself what the scoreline againist City would have been if He and Vidic had started.
Anyway that one don go. . .
