like it would be devastating to be able to do this. like someone can hijack your number and have access to your life

They will ask you security questions like date of sim purchase, most frequently called numbers, NIN linked to the SIM, last recharge etc However, SIM swaps are done physically and not over the phone. You can't bypass the process

over the phone ? you dont have to go in for biometrics confirmation ?

oh ok its a physical thing like you have to show up ? thats good to know. am hearing about people jacking your phone numbers and its crazy.
