New Era here howbeit, Cha-Cha 9ja beats a new drum, stirs new waters and sprang up new fishes. Of course in Alagbado, the promise that it would collect the galaxies of Omobaba, Lord of Ajasa, Durella, Pa James (Ajirebi) and other emerging artistes was kept in a program organized by Cha-Cha 9ja and tagged ‘Phemmy and Friends’ in its LAFFMATICS stage series.

A calm Sunday, 9th October, 2011, doubting Thomases hanged around the Chicken Lovers Eatery popular at the Abule Taylor junction at Alagbado, the fading commercial suspension of Lagos-Ogun border. An hour later, the blaring speakers from the mixing of DJ X-ential in the upper hall attracted the few people around as they began to purchase their tickets.

Shortly after, Austin, a comedian of the Channels TV fame commenced with pranks, introducing Omobaba on stage. At this time, there was a noticeable influx of the Yetundes, the Chidinmas and the Zainabs. It was then a nice time all through in Music, Dances and Laughter with Lord of Ajasa, Durella, Pa James, Omobaba, and other emerging artistes.

Also performing were PeaceMaker, Charcoal, Okansoso, Glorious Steppers and other choreographic display groups. The story was featured in the Entertainment news of AIT, STV, The Punch, guardian and other national Dailies. The next edition will feature 9ice, Jaywon and others in December.
