Potpourri is a mixture of dried fragrant plant materials, which has been combined with spices that are aromatic in nature. The word "potpourri" is derived from French which means "rotten pot." The term originally referred to a mixture of fragrant botanicals that are dried and used to add a pleasant scent to a room or living area. Potpourri consists not just of dried flowers, but also seeds, leaves, bark, and sometimes spices. These ingredients are often chosen for products that produce natural aromas which may include rose petals, citrus peels, and cinnamon sticks. The mixture is placed in bowls or sachets and left in corners of the home to provide a natural fragrance.

Store:

Now make sure to store it in an airtight container. Make sure they are completely dry because when you are storing them in an air-tight container, the fungus can be caused. Let the scents and aroma sit in an air-tight container for a few weeks, like three to five weeks.

Time to Smell:

After the mentioned time period, you can use them to display in your living area or any space that needs to be aromatic. After a few weeks or months, you can restock or add a few drops of essential oils to extend the aroma.
