both are of very good specs, but the choice now lies on your preference. Either you love dell or Lenovo systems, either you like laptop with 17inches size of the dell or you prefer the normal 15.6inches of the Lenovo, the Lenovo is only a generation ahead of the core i5 of the dell interms of how recent it is. But for me o, I will choose the dell. That dell Inspiron is very rugged, from my experience of using the dell N5110 before
