There were reports from Ughelli where the police officers of Nigeria Police Force engaged in a routine stop-and-search operation along the East-West Road, Ughelli allegedly opened fire and wounded a young man named Victor.

While it is still not clear why he was shot, Victor was shot in the leg and abdomen by the bullets fired by the officer.

However, Ughellivibes video obtained by Trendygists captured an emotional scene which showed the brother of the victim crying while accusing the officers of shooting his brother. The brother further identified one cop who he believed was responsible for the shooting.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe stated that they have arrested the police officer involved in the shooting.

He stated on twitter, “The Nigeria Police Force does not and will never tolerate unprofessional conduct from any personnel.

On this premise, The Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass ordered the immediate detention of the erring Police Inspector. The injured victim is being treated. Meanwhile, The CP urges members of the public to remain calm, as he guarantees Justice.”
