ojonwamama:
The antioxidants and phytochemicals gotten from the fermentation, boiling and other processing methods of the herbs, leaves and roots are good for the kidneys, liver and heart.

Only excessive intake of Agbo can be bad
God bless you,it's just the dosage, mode of decoction or preparation, hygiene that's most important.

Pure bunkum.
Agbo consumption is bad and yes should be discouraged simply because the components and mixtures are not known nor the safe dosage known, but to link Agbo consumption to claimed upsurge in kidney cases is just pure gibberish.
Scientific study done by those that do proper studies abroad have shown hypertension, diabetes and infections as leading causes of kidney failures;drugs and toxins come way down the chart.
If there has been an upsurge in kidney cases in Nigeria,it simply has to do with awareness and the greater availability of diagnostic tools for ailments that was formerly attributed to malaria, typhoid or "spiritual attack"
Don't cone and use your assumptions or the typical Nigerian way of having an already wanted answer then using presumptions to back up the answer,as fact.
