The Senate list is a list of approved graduates qualified for NYSC by an Institution.

In other words, institutions will compile a list of graduates who have been cleared and fit for NYSC mobilization.

The list will go through a thorough check by the school management before it will be pasted and be made available for graduates to check.

This will mean that if your name is on your school approved senate list, then you have been successfully mobilized for the Batch.

And paraventure, if your name is not on your School Senate List, it means you won’t be going with that particular stream.

Senate list is released in each stream that are going for service. Therefore, there are six (6) senate list uploading annually or senate list is uploaded six (6) times in a year.

Tips for camping for BATCH A 2024

1. The rubber shoe you are going to buy, make sure it’s oversize. If you are size 30, buy size 32

2. Due to the strictness in camp, if you are not very strong for camp activities, get a letter of exemption from parade and other strenuous activities

3. Pregnant and nursing mothers are not allowed to participate in camp activities, therefore they go home after registration, whether you are married or not.

4. You will wear mostly white shirts and short, bright colored underwear are not advised, black underwear are the best especially for ladies.

5. Parades are compulsory for everyone except you are in First Aid ⛑️ crew or in special camp assignment like clinic.

6. Get malaria and stress relieving painkillers before going to camp.

7. Take a mosquito net along with you to reduce chances of getting malaria while in camp.

8. There are restrictions in camp hostels, guys can’t go to female hostels and ladies can’t go to male hostels.

9. Military personnel train Corp members how to do military parade.

10. There is free skill acquisition that are being done in camp for Corp members and ranges up to 10 skills.

11. Feeding is free in camp, however Save enough money for your camping expenses because you will need to eat extra too.

▶️ It's no longer news that you will not be deployed if you are above 30 years as at when you finished from school but rather be issued NYSC exemption letter

HOW TO CALCULATE THE AGE

▶️ CASE 1:
SOLOMON date of birth is December 5th 1990 and SOLOMON graduated from his school on December 4th 2020, in this case SOLOMON is good and eligible to go for NYSC at any age he wants to. He finished school less than 30yrs.

▶️CASE 2:
SOLOMON graduated December 6th 2020, SOLOMON will be given exemption letter due to the fact that his above 30 years of age for a day before graduation from his institution.

N.B:
▶️ Date of graduation from your institution is when the final result was approved by your school governing body i.e the School senate body

WHICH DATE OF BIRTH IS USED FOR NYSC MOBILIZATION?

▶️ Your JAMB date of birth will be used to mobilise you

▶️ *But if your JAMB age is above 30 years and you have WAEC result that the age is below 30 YEARS, don't panic you will use the WAEC for the correction of your date of birth after/during NYSC online registration

The reason for the above is the recent discovery of the mysterious way a Newspaper journalist got certificate in 6 months and was registered for service successfully

He didn’t go for school, he bought the certificate, bribed his way to get a valid international passport that was backdated, went to get evaluation letter by bribery too and that has raised an eyebrow in the schemes way of validating the Corp members during physical verification.

1. Portal for uploading of senate list is opened for institution to upload names.
2. ⁠Internal mobilization is ongoing, some few schools have pasted name and many more will paste name on the coming days and weeks
3. To see your name in internal mobilization list, go to where your schooo paste such name in your institution
4. Important things to note in the internal mobilization list is your name spellling, jamb reg, date of graduation. If there is any error, report to the student affairs immediately
5. No date for registration or camping yet, once the dates are available, you will be the first to hear them here.
6. You can start getting important documents together especially married female pcm and foreign trained pcm.
7. Disregard any rumors you heard, they won’t help you.
8. ⁠*REVALIDATION PCM* i.e those that registered before and didn’t go to where they will be posted are to await portal opening too to do their REVALIDATION. You will get new call up number and new call up letter.
9. ⁠If you were mobilised by your school last year but you didn’t register, all you need to await is fresh registration. You don’t need to go back to your institution again.
10. If you are mobilised now and you are not ready to register yet, it won’t be an issue for you, once you are mobilised, you can register anytime that you consider suitable.
