Football resumed in 2024 in the NPFL after a break during the Christmas and new year holidays.
We had some mouthwatering fixtures which produced unwanted results for some teams and pleasant result for the winners.
On Saturday 6, we had two matches as Enugu rangers squared up against Bendel insurance of Benin at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium and left with a two nil bashing courtesy of goals from Junior Osaghae and Ismael Sarki in the 15th and 61st minutes respectively.

Doma United defeated katsina United in the second game of the day with the same scorieline to move third in the table with 31 points.

On Sunday we saw action in different centers across the country with sporting Lagos sinking further down into the relegation waters with a 2-0 loss to a finidi George-less Enyimba who’s in the camp of the super eagles for AFCON.
Paul Offor needs to come up with a solution and fast if sporting Lagos are to navigate to safety in this second half of the 2023/2024 season.
