POTENTIAL REVENUE ANALYSIS

yield per acre is between 500 litres to 1,500 litres within the 3 year to 5th year while it will increase towards 1800 litres to 2400 litres at full maturity of the plants starting from year 6 and above .pls note planting of superior grade of F1 tenera and supergene and addition to adequate fertilization can only yield this result . .A farmer can make between 1.8m to 2.4 million PER ACRE at full maturity of the plantation if palm oil is sold for 1000 naira per litre at current price .

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

# Year 3 to 5 ,under good farm management the plantation is capable of yielding the initial cost of investment and cost of farm set up while subsequent years are for generating returns on investment .

# Yield of oil palm tree is mostly dependent on two factors which are natural factors and human factor .natural factors such rainfall and sunlight and human factor such as timely weeding and fertilization determines the annual yield of palm trees .

# it is worthwhile to note that cost of running and mentaining an oil palm plantation reduces significantly at full maturity when the plants form canopy to prevent sunlight from getting to the ground thereby prevent growth of weeds .At this stage cost of mentainance reduces while profitability increases .more fruits bunches are produced while cost of weeding is reduced .

# It is worthwhile to note that palm oil which is our major product is being sold for between 1000 to 1500 naira per litre .it is expected that the price of the produce will increase due to inflation in the next 3 to 4 years when the plantation will be ready for harvest .this will put the owner of the farm a leverage to make more returns on investment because of increae in the price of litre of palm oil above the benchmark price quoted as at the time of setting up the plantation .

Good morning.
Your analysis is good but there are some missing legs and particularly using 15k to clear one acre of land is very unrealistic
The first round of clearing requires a lot of money because i believe the farm land will be a thick forest with a lot of big trees. After clearing, there will be need for parking and burning of the dry weeds and removing of big trees which will gulp additional money.
Except transport fare has been included in the cost per seedlings, conveying the seedling to your farm village then to the farm site is another major area that consume a lot of money.
You can adjust the cost of clearing per acre to reflect realities as it will be difficult to get laborers or bulldozer that will clear a plot less than 5,000 in our present day Nigeria.
Cost of parking, burning and removing of stumps can also be likened to the cost of clearing but as a separate cost on its own
Cost of conveying the seedlings from the nursery yard to your farm largely depends on the closeness of your farm to the nursery yard.

I have a brother that started palm tree 🌴 plantation in Ede osun state in 2023, he planted super gene 130 pieces on 2 acres but my observation when I visited is 4-5 years how realistic is it also he hasn’t applied any fertilizer since then it’s almost 10 months that he planted it I pray everything works out well sha thanks for the information

Good after in this platform, please we need more enlightenment on this oil palm plantation, because i know that the maintenance is very high, and again the cost of clearing the land when bought because the land will definitely be a thick bush when bought
