The eagerly awaited January edition of Oyo Reads, a monthly literary event dedicated to reshaping the literary landscape of Oyo State, is poised to showcase a dynamic trio as its headline speakers: Ajobo Musleudeen Akinlabi, Akinola Sesan, and Adepoju Timileyin.

Oyo Reads, a pioneering initiative, aims to kindle a love for reading by establishing mini community libraries across various corners of Oyo State, thus enhancing accessibility to literature for its residents.

The event is organized by the Ibadan Book Club in collaboration with the Writers League of Oyo State.

Scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Oyo State Library Board, Opposite Cocoa House, Dugbe, Ibadan, the reading will commence at 12 PM. Akinola Sesan and Adepoju Timileyin will engage in discussions about their literary works, offering attendees unique insights into their creative processes. Akinola Sesan, a renowned Nigerian poet, playwright, literary critic, and mental health advocate, will share his experiences and perspectives on literature. His impact on the performing arts is widely acknowledged, with international acclaim for his poetic prowess showcased in anthologies worldwide, including works such as "The Trials of Orisa" and "Naira and Kobo."

Bringing a distinctive perspective to the event, Ajobo Musleudeen Akinlabi will delve into the intricacies of Book Sales and Marketing, drawing on his over five decades of experience. A retired Oyo State Local Government Pensioner, Ajobo has remained dedicated to academic excellence and is the visionary behind Labby Mega e-Revelation Services, specializing in Bookservices and Herbal Products Supplies.

Adepoju Timileyin O., also known as Juste Ink, a creative force from Ibadan, Nigeria, will contribute his unique blend of literary and artistic talent to the stage. Beyond his written expressions, Timileyin is a skilled fashion designer, reflecting the diversity of his artistic repertoire. His works have been featured in prestigious publications, showcasing his ability to craft evocative narratives that resonate with a broad audience.

The January edition of Oyo Reads promises to be an enriching experience, combining the literary insights of Akinola Sesan and Adepoju Timileyin with Ajobo Musleudeen Akinlabi's wealth of knowledge in Book Sales and Marketing.
