Morocco vs South Africa: AFCON

Morocco were unbeaten on their way to topping Group F

Morocco will be eyeing a deep run at the Africa Cup of Nations as they prepare to face South Africa in the last-16.

The Atlas Lions went into the tournament as one of the favourites, after their superb run to finish fourth at the World Cup in 2022, and they had little issues in finishing top of their AFCON group to reach the knockout stages.

It is now 48 years though since the won and only time they won this tournament, and they have not made the final since 2004. Beat South Africa here, and Morocco will face either Cape Verde or Mauritania in the quarter-finals.

South Africa did not qualify for AFCON two years ago but finished second in Group E to reach the last-16 this time, helped by a big 4-0 win over Namibia

Una don start ba..... Senegal we so much hyped is gone; so also Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon and E. Guinea. Another over rated Arab country- Morocco May be leaving today.
I watched their match against Zambia and was wondering what exactly is special about Morocco

I'll be supporting SA today. Morocco will be a huge challenge for Nigeria if we beat Angola. South Africa beating Morocco will make our journey to the final much easier. Bafana Bafana for the win tonight cool

After Senegal game of yesterday, na to dey lock up watch games with fingers crossed.

More surprises looming in this unusual and interesting tournament.

I love it!!! Best Afcon I have watched in a long time... No boring games.

Fluid and impressive display from all teams.

Cote'divoire fought hard and hungrily last night, and they prevailed against the biggest contender.

Let's see if South Africa can pull a surprise against the highest ranking African team in the world.

Haba

Is Angola now prime Brazil?

Nobody will give Mabalulu and Gelson that kinda space to score.

At this point I think they’re just trolling. It’s a waste of energy responding to these trolls.

It's going to be tough, South Africa knows how to handle these North African teams....but my church mind is giving it to Morocco based on pedigree

Dont say that.

South africa 🇿🇦 plays similar style like them. Both sides play attacking football

If you were told that Ivory Coast will beat senegal 🇸🇳 yesterday, would you have believed?

Football is unpredictable. Anything can happen

If they also tell you my club ARSENAL is winning the league and champions league this season, will you believe? But, we are winning both cups

Bottom line is, don't write anyone off until it is uhuru
