Pesiro to be blamed. Iwobi suppose to be removed long time ago.
The coach was never good enough and he has been riding on luck since the tournament began. During the game at group the Ivoriens outplayed the Super Eagles but couldn’t turn possession into result and since they got a lifeline they improved and some of their key players like Haller, Adingra, Seri all came back from injury from the knockout stage and their gameplay improved. Peseiro is a one trick pony, he got found out from the semis and he ran outta luck tonight. No build up play no nothing. Aina, Lookman, Chukwueze all had stinkers, Iwobi has no business in the team be it on the field or as a squad player. Osimhen never remained the same after the Angola game due to the stomach injury he sustained.

Misapplication of a religious mind. Simply put, your team didn't win because they were average perfomers. They were only lucky to have gone that far. You went to the tournament with only 5 or 6 players. That's it.

O please spare me that religious bullcrap capping undecided. Everyone was confident that Nigeria is the better team. Team we beat by a goal to Nil in group stage and was trashed 4-0 by Guinea Bissau. Same Ivory coast that was the last 3rd place team to be considered for qualification with just 3 points and -3 goal difference.

Please spare me bro, they were lucky to have gone that far. A team that kept 4 clean sheet was lucky? Mstcheew abeg u no get talk

Where is that guy who said Iwobi is the best midfielder for SE?
The Ivorians dominated the midfield. Iwobi should not be invited again. Let the coach/NFF scout for creative midfielders. You can't have someone like Osimhen and do not feed him balls

Iwobi is not that guy.

What we need is not a pure creative midfielder but a Bellingham or Kante type player

A pure box to box player with creativity

The problem of this team has always been the midfield. We need creative midfielders. Iwobi cannot give a simple accurate pass, haba. To me iwobi is the worst super Eagle player in this tournament.

Iwobi was irritating.

It's understandable to defend a 1 goal lead. But 1-1? Still packing the bus and using 5 man defense?

Poor midfield and starving the attackers.

A final like this should have been confrontational from start to finish. Every single thing done or undone affected the final result.

So what is next after this?

We have worldcup qualifiers? Let's focus on that. There is another tournament in 2 years.

We reach final, its good. Work with this and get better. The team is quite good TBH

I am done and dusted.

It is their headache if they qualify or not for the world cup.

With these players and the coach, I see an hopeless situation

Adingra is a prospect

Look at his career stats and look at the impact he has had on CIV team in the tournament

I'll take Adingra any day of the week over Chukwueze and Moses Simon based on this tournament.

With Peseiro, the Super Eagle can't win a table spoon. I am better than him. He is a very poor tactician!

I can't imagine the coach playing 5 defenders against ivory coast who have no Messi, Neymar, C Ronaldo or halland in their team. After the equaliser, he still continued with the same pattern and formation.

Saidu was poor right from the start while Aina has been giving his opponent the best opportunities to always attack.

Iwobi has no business in this team yet you are giving him the chance to start. I can't imagine a team collapsing the midfield and hoping on the striker to perform magic.

You can't allow a team to dominate you from start to finish and expect a win for yourself after the match.

God can bear witness, I have never been impressed with the Super Eagle's performance since Peseiro took charge.

This team lack confidence

They did not lack confidence in the group stages.

They did not lack confidence in the quarter finals

They did not lack confidence in the Semi finals, it's now in the finals, they lost their confidence.

Please, what could be the reason for their lack of confidence?
