Ghanaian singer and rapper, Mohammed Ismail Sherif, popularly known as Black Sherif, has expressed delight at the victory of Ivory Coast over Nigeria in the final of the just concluded African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

He said he was happy Nigeria lost because some of his Nigerian colleagues called to mock him when the Black Stars of Ghana exited the competition in the group stage.

Black Sherif vowed to continue trolling Nigeria over the AFCON loss.

On his social media handle, he wrote:
“Blaqbonez called me on Facetime to laugh at me when my country’s Black Stars was sent home, the guy couldn’t stop smiling. Odumodu was on Facetime the next 3 days telling the Jeweller to make me the cheapest piece he’s ever made, And na me call am for the Jeweller o! You want me to shut up? I’m going to bed. We go again this afternoon. Super Eagles! you do this one.”

No shame in losing to Cote d’Ivoire in the final … but losing to Cape Verde/Comoros in the group stages would have been hard to stomach grin

Nigerians brag too much. Too much pride.

If na Nigeria win AFCON ehn, social media will not rest. Other African countries will not rest. The noise will be too much. Pride goes before a fall.

Finals never come, Nigerians don already dey brag on social media. Dey laugh at other countries forgetting they are human beings too.

Since Ivory Coast won, have we heard their voices? No. Everywhere just quiet. That's humility.

This should be a lesson.

God rebukes the proud and gives more grace to the humble - James 4 vs 6.

If it were the South Africans banting us,I won't have any problem with that cuz at least they took third position....

But as for Ghana that cummed-out of the tourney at the very early stage to be mocking us is what I can't and will never take....
