Thanks for your inquiry v2. But remember that I'm not selling it 'cos I've problems with it. So 2m is too low for consideration.
Make a better offer.

2.8m for a Nigerian used nissan murano is ridiculous, this is not even the full option leather 4 wheel.
Get real, pple dont buy muranos again cos of tranny problems, appropriate price shouldnt be more than 1.8m.
Goodluck witout Jonathan.

Thanks for your comments newman10.

Let me make some points here:
1. I'm not desperate to sell the car as I'm not selling it because of a tranny or any other mechanical problems but simply because of the need to lie low in my new abode
2. The taste of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating. Whoever shows interest in the car will at least test run it and do reasonable background checks on it before putting money on the table for its purchase
3. I've made it clear that its price is open to negotiation but I can assure you that if I must sell it, it wouldn't be sold at any ridiculous price because, once again, I'm not selling it due to any problems
4. In the unlikely event that a serious buyer doesn't come forward, I'll rather keep it in Lagos for use during visits from my (new) base. However, contrary to your opinion, many auto users have continually bought their Muranos as evidenced by its number on Lagos roads.

Once again, I'm willing to accept a lower price but certainly not a million naira discount as you expected.

Thank you for your time and the good luck you wished me.

==========================================

On an enlightenment note, people who have had tranny problems with Muranos have used different transmission oils, as opposed to the one recommended for the car by its manufacturer. This oil is available in Nigeria. All that users need to do is to run their purchased products as advised in their operating manuals. Anything to the contrary is an open invitation to problems.

Below quotation is a response by a seasoned nairaland auto dealer – dantiki - to another nairalander's concerns about tranny issues in Muranos. Enjoy.

dantitiki:

Transmissions (gear box) go bad when they lack their required maintenance. I wont believe a car manufacturing company would produce a car and release it into the market to go bad.

Muranos have a different kind of transmission called CVT which is a whole lot different from the regular transmission, therefore they need a different type of transmission oil. People don't know this and they use the regular oil for them, thereby killing the transmission.

If everyone follows the required maintenance described in their car manuals, I don't think car maintenance would be an issue.

Kind regards.

@poster, your ride is okay. But for a Murano, lacking basic needs like Leather seat, no open roof and not a 4wd it will be difficult to table anything above 2million.
I have 1.8 million up. If its okay, you can send me an sms to for further processes. thanks Ray.

Just as fortold by Inspired you will most likely end up driving that car in PH.
First cause your asking is just not here, but there grin
Second Cause as a member of NL you very well know the going at BANIX king of used Muranos shocked
Third cause you will need the high clearance of the Murano to wade thru the PH pot holes, even though you havent got all wheel drive for the real nasties! wink

@frowland
You must be a marketer. You're quite good at negotiating.
In just a few words, you succeeded in looking at the "cup" as half empty rather than half full.

@adekampe
I wonder how ethical your post is - using another person's platform (thread) to counter the person's interest. You'd have done better by contacting v2 by other means.
All the best in your sales.
Re: Top End 2006 Murano For Sale - Owner Relocating by frowland(m): 12:32pm On Nov 17, 2011
@Poster, I also wonder how you can put up a Murano with such an exorbitant amount without considering several factors. I tabled 1.8 million which is even on a high side. The car looks good and advisable for pick, but mind you am not a marketer. I bought 2005 Honda Accord a week before Esther this year for a total of 1.8 million straight from the US and a problem came up and have to give it up for just #1mill after 3months although it was an urgent sale.
Yours does not quite look like an urgent sale but the amount is high; NOBODY will negotiate anything above 2mil. I really wish you get a high bidder, but from my side, I can table only 1.8 mill. Murano is a good ride but has no resale value due to its high cost in maintenance. Looking forward to hearing from you(Need the ride for xmas, this time wish I wont have reasons to resale grin grin grin grin grin grin wink
