I was so elated. It was like I was in another body entirely. So I had to settle down to begin the work I was to do. Immediately I sat down on the seat in ‘my office,’ I found myself in my hut.
‘What is this?’ I asked in awe. ‘What type of dream is this?’
I could hardly do my morning chores. And food could not pass through my throat. But I must be in school, so I tried to do the most I could as I prepared for school.
‘What is wrong with you, Obim?’ Mama asked. ‘Hope you slept well?’
I am fine Mama.
‘But you are acting like a young widow who just saw her beloved late husband in her dreams,’ mama said.
I looked at Mama with a bit of surprise, especially for mentioning dreams. Do people who dream perplexing dreams behave in a particular way? I wondered.
