Hello Nigerian students,

This is not the only, not the first and of course will not be the first advice you will have in your search for admission into any of the tertiary institutions in the country. But i promise to give you a selfless advice and guide as i intend to expose all possible pitfalls that determine success or failure in the admission search experience in Nigeria.

Over the recent five years, the population of admission seekers in Nigeria has grown larger and larger year after year. You might be excited to hear that the population of Nigerians that sit for JAMB annually is more than twice the total population of Liberia. More reason why you have to be ready for the competition-survival of the fittest.

As i write this post, many of you might be busy asking questions like how and where can i purchase the jamb form. Probably it's your second, third or even fourth time of applying for jamb, lucky you if you are applying for the first time, but the journey just started.

I don't care to know your location, the course you intend studying, your affluence, your age or your stake in the affairs and scheme of things in Nigeria. Perhaps you shouldn't be reading this if your father is a V.C or your dad is a senator. This post is meant for the average Nigerian who rely on success as the only way to admission into schools.

Just last year (or this year rather-2011) a total of about 1,403,640 candidates wrote jamb/utme, with just about 20% hoping to be admitted. Of which you might still be hoping that your name will still come out this year. Who knows?

While you wait, or while you search for where to purchase this year's jamb form, be careful and mind you, your failure starts from your application. For now i would advice all Nigerians to hold on first. Do not rush to register to avoid the mistakes others made last year.

Let the "rushers" and desperate ones begin first, while you join them later. Then you must have learned from their mistakes and that gives you about 10% edge above them!

We are glad to inform you that JAMB have extend the UTME 2012 registration deadline, we have been bombard with emails of interested candidates who are still waiting to purchase Jamb form, well if you have not purchase your jamb form, here is some good news for you.

From our insider in Jamb official, We are tripple happy to announce that it is now officially confirmed that Jamb Registration have been postphone.
Jamb has extended the UTME Registration deadline to 2nd March 2012., so all interested candidates who are still yet to register for this 2012/2013 Jamb, should take advantage of this and proceed with their Registration procedures.
It is expected that the jamb online registration portal will be closed on 2nd March 2012.

Candidates who intend to partake for the 2012 UTME and are yet to registered, should do so now, funny enough, many people will not register for their jamb until it is almost closed, from 28th february to 1st march 2012, pleas note that when the JAMB online registration portal is closed, all chance for you writing jamb this year is dashed.
