Arsenal Football Club are through to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in seven seasons.

The last time Arsenal played in the Champions League was in 2017, seven years ago.

The English side have goalkeeper David Raya to thank after Portuguese side, FC Porto dragged to penalties after extra time.

Arsenal had the Emirates Stadium to thank after going into the tie on Tuesday trailing to an away goal by Porto.

However, the Gunners did pull one back, thanks to Leandro Trossard who slotted home in the 41st minute after receiving a delicious pass from captain Martin Odegaard.

There was no late drama as the game went into penalties, following a 1-1 aggregate after extra-time.

Arsenal scored four of their penalties while Porto missed two, thanks to Raya's heroics, as the game ended 4-2 on penalties - taking the aggregate tally to 5-3.

The Gunners join the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Barcelona, and PSG, with Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan and Dortmund vs PSV yet to play.
