Chelsea has officially announced that they will embark on a pre-season tour in the United States this summer, featuring three matches against Celtic, Rexham, and Club América.

The official announcement reads as follows: "We are pleased to announce that Chelsea will play a pre-season match against Celtic at the University of Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana. This will be the third match of our 2024 US tour and will take place on Saturday, July 27th. We previously faced Celtic during a US tour in 2004 in Seattle, where Chelsea emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline."

The dates for the other two pre-season matches in the United States have already been confirmed.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play in front of the fans at Notre Dame," said Chelsea CEO Chris Ullrich. "The match against Celtic adds prestige to our pre-season tour and will provide valuable preparation for the 2024/25 Premier League season."
