The reduction in price is as a result of the competition occasioned by the entrance of Airpeace into the international flight market.
It has nothing to do with the trial and error policies of the CBN angry

You have more than 7 years to wail

is it also the reason we have airfares for USA route reduced where Airpeace does not have license to operate?
You don't know how the Nigeria London route will impact airfare tickets prices of flights on the Nigeria-USA route?
Really? ...?

Without FG's support, air peace wouldn't have gotten the approval operate along the London routes, clearing of forex backlog also contributed.

Moreover, investigations revealed during Buhari's tenure that Air Peace was created with embezzled funds from the Presidential Amnesty Programme during Jonathan's tenure and then Buhari decided to look the other way since those looted funds is being used to create employment through Air Peace.

While do you think Buhari blocked the USA from arresting Onyema at the time he was declared wanted by the US for money laundering?? It is not all the time that you must castigate the government as many of you can't even govern your home but you must rubbish every little effort government is putting even now that it's producing good results so far.
1.It's clearly stated in the article that the price reduction happened before the backlog was cleared.
2. Allen Onyema was cleared of all charges, there's no a single court where he was convicted of any crime.

As regards your number 1, backlog was being cleared in tranches, the moment FG cleared the first batch, the airlines understood the seriousness and sincerity of this government and that it was just a question of time before theirs would be cleared. I am not arguing from your earlier post that competition didnt also contributed to this. I only disagreed with your last paragraph that it's had nothing to do with the trial and error policies of CBN, you don't just get say that and not commend the government no matter how little, no na.

Number 2, Yes he was not convicted because Buhari didn't approve his extradition to the USA reason why malami who was then Attorney general and minister of justice didn't go ahead with the extradition process.

This is probably because onyema and his collaborators at the presidential amnesty programme were patriotic enough to establish an airline at a time the airline industry was going through a rough patch.

You should take out time to think before you speak. Are Igbos the only ones that patronize Air peace?
Stop mixing tribal hate into every discussion and analyze issues objectively. This will help your life.l

To every action there must be a reaction. I noticed that some obidients from a certain region are not interested in constructive criticism that can make this country better. They only want to castigate and abuse Obis winner. They are embittered that Tinubu defeated their kinsman so nothing Tinubu does is good. Is that how to do opposition ? They talk and behave like sadistic saboteurs of Nigeria praying for all sorts of things including coups. We cant allow such people to dominate the SM. Every patriotic Nigerian has a duty to put them to shame before they demarket Nigeria internationally.
So you rather roll with these idiot in the mud and tear one another down online just becos their words were provocative and insulting!
Have you ever wondered the age of these people you are even fighting with online!.
How are you even sure you are not dealing with teenagers btw 14-19 years, who write nonsense on the internet just to appease their emotion and start an e-war.

It is still too high
A 6 hour flight should be about 500 dollars or 600 to 700k in a slow season and 1.6m naira to New York
Re: Airfares Drop As Foreign Carriers Unblock Low-priced Tickets by Femeto: 7:18pm On Mar 31
Support local airlines to fly out. They would automatically crash their prices.
Re: Airfares Drop As Foreign Carriers Unblock Low-priced Tickets by Yankee101: 7:26pm On Mar 31
It’s still double
New York to London is6hrs 50min to 7 hrs flight and cost 450 to 500 dollars
Nigeria to London is about the same time but costs double that amount at the cheapest and almost triple on average
The FAAN needs to price costs according to international standards too. You don’t pay your handling workers as much as in developed countries but you like to charge higher for everything

“The money the airlines are saying that they are still owed is money with the commercial banks and not with the government, because commercial banks are private. They are not government entities,” Akporiaye added.

If FG had not cleared the backlog, this revelation may not be out that banks owned by private individuals are actually the one withholding some of the funds that made airlines withdraw the low-priced tickets.

EFCC should move into this matter before these private individuals frustrate the progress the FG just made in this area of bringing back the low priced ticket.

All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
Continue defence of frivolities. Tinubu government is completely bad. Period
