Kidnappers Suspected to be Herdsmen have killed a civil servant and farmer identified as Inofomoh Gabriel, in Edo State.

The incident was said to have happened in the Jattu community, the Headquarters of the Uzairue clan in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State

It was further gathered that the deceased, who was also a member of staff of Auchi Polytechnic, went to the farm on Wednesday last week but didn’t return home.

A Source in the community said that when he didn’t come back home, a search team was organized to comb the bush in search of the missing farmer.

He said, “It was Saturday that his corpse was discovered in the bush with several match cuts all over his body.”

According to him, they suspect herders who have been kidnapping farmers in their farms in the area and in some cases killed some of their victims.

He said the matter has been reported to the Jattu Police Division and a source at the station confirmed the incident but said he was not authorized to speak.

When contacted the Edo State Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said he would get back after contacting the Divisional Police Officer Jattu, Division.

A friend of the victim, Esilama Uduimoh, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Those who killed you will never know peace as long as the lord liveth. Their body and blood shall be scavenged by vultures of the earth and burn in the hottest furnace of hell. Let's rise and fight all this Fulani kidnappers in our Lands to a stand. @Rest on my Bossom friend," he wrote.

It's undeniable that insecurity has escalated since Tinubu assumed office. Each day brings numerous news reports of killings and kidnappings across the nation.
What's even more troubling is that many incidents go unreported or are intentionally downplayed by the media, revealing a deeply troubling reality. The absence of a comprehensive government plan to safeguard the lives of Nigerians only presents a feeling of hopelessness.

Why can't Tinubu just ban open grazing in Nigeria? is it too hard to do? I thought his supporters said he is the only one who can fight Fulani?

Well it looks like a lie just other lies about him, condolence to the bereaved

This one na the one wey enter media o (probably because he is a staff of Auchi Polytechnic). The ones wey we nor dey see for media na many pass for Edo State (especially that Edo north).

And many percentage of same Edo north people has always been the ones supporting this Apc nonsense government since Buhari campaign time till date, all because of of Adams Oshiomhole and religion

One thing I know be say, in one way or the other, all of us (especially we common/ordinary people for this naija) must surely shop the breakfast (Weda good or bad) wey we dey dish out for this our country naija someday.

So if e like make we wise up, if e like, make we nor wise up, afterall e be many things for this naija our country..... Rip to the dead

Goodness! The Middle Belters and Yorubas must definitively and decisively rise up to the Fulani terrorists menace.Communities in these regions must not be allowing greedy and self centered politicians to politicize this issue for their own self interest.
They must say a firm NO and stand by it, even take drastic measures without waiting for the government.
The Kingdom of God suffereth violence and only the Violent taketh it by force.
God bless ESN operating in the SE.
Its existence here is the reason Fulani herdsmen menace has virtually disappeared.
Igbophobes won't like this but the truth remains.
