The Igede Ekiti Civic Centre buzzed with enthusiasm and inspiration on Monday, April 1st, 2024, as the inaugural edition of the Igede Youth Summit concluded successfully. Organized by the Igede Youth Forum, the event aimed to empower and enlighten the youth of Igede on seizing opportunities and charting a path to success beyond traditional boundaries.

The summit kicked off with Barrister Iyanu Olumuagun delivering a thought-provoking keynote address titled 'Beyond the Paper.' With wisdom and passion, she urged Igede youths to transcend mere certifications and strive for excellence in all their endeavors.

Following suit, Mr. Jide Ogunluyi took the stage to deliver his keynote address on 'Closing the Gap.' He emphasized the importance of reaching a level where opportunities seek out individuals, highlighting the significance of self-development and proactive engagement with the world.

The panel discussion featured three remarkable individuals - Mayowa Akinleye, Akeem Adebomojo, and Ariyo Adeoba - who shared insights on both online and offline opportunities available to Igede youths. Their expertise and experiences provided attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration.

In a hands-on workshop session, Agripreneur Busuyi Ajayi guided participants on building a skillful portfolio, equipping them with tools to navigate the competitive landscape of the modern job market.

Distinguished guests, including the National President of Igede Progressive Association, Dr. Austin Ibikunle, renowned consultant Seun Yussuf, and youth enthusiast Yemi Fagbuji, graced the event, underscoring its significance in the community.

In his closing remarks, Comrade Wale Omotoyinbo, the president of the Igede Youth Forum, urged all attendees to internalize the lessons learned and apply them in their personal and professional lives.

The inaugural Igede Youth Summit stands as a testament to the commitment of Igede's youth to excellence, innovation, and collective advancement. As the curtains drew on this transformative event, the spirit of empowerment and possibility lingered, promising a brighter future for Igede's next generation of leaders.
