Nollywood has been thrown into mourning following the sad demise of Nollywood actor, Junior Pope. The actor and his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River in Anambra state.

Their bodies have since been recovered.

Hours ago, the actor shared a video of himself taken yesterday in a boat and praying frantically to arrive at his destination safely. The accident unfortunately happened on his way back from the location today April 10th.

The actor is survived by his wife and three children. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

If that's the case, it was a matter of distraction and the actor is the culprit here. They might as well be under the influence of alcohol.

Really bad, life jackets is a must but most people ignore it I don't know why? When I insist sometimes they call me fear fear man, but is that not the right thing to do? Ok if no life jackets, what's the alternative? No answer than, God forbid bad things will not happen to us. Don't play God.

As an actor with many years experience, the trip is not sudden but already planned so I see no reason why each crew cannot buy life jacket for themselves. I am sure nobody got paid less than 20k for the production and with as low as 20k each can buy life jacket which they can reuse next time

My question is why are they not putting on life jacket, even if you can swim life jacket is very important when traveling by water... Nigerians are just too careless and we are never proactive until something bad happen..am very sad to hear of his demise and the others..rip to all the dead and may God grant their family the fortitude to bear such painful loss

RIP to him, but this guy was enlightened enough to know he should demand for a life jacket if he's to ride on a boat. Safety first, use a life jacket while on a boat or ferry, no matter how convincing the operator of the boat sounds, don't go on a boat ride without a life jacket if you're not a good swimmer
