Chauvinism is rife in the Nigerian Military and many still believe women don't deceive to have a place in the military. Many of them, especially in the army are rarely deployed to combat units or to the front lines. Some northern Muslim soldiers even believe it is "Haram" to obey the orders of a lady officer!
