Social media regulation is necessary to compel confirmation before publication of contents. This will save both bloggers and their audience.

Publishers of fake news deserve to be jailed. This police officer is not exempted. Bloggers are going crazier every day. One even captioned his or her own "Jail term for DJ Switch".

Only misguided people think social media regulation means no freedom of speech. What you should argue about is how the regulation should be. The regulation will apply to this police officer and his likes. It will also apply to certified media houses like TV stations.

Even without the regulation, do the poor have freedom of speech? No. But the regulation will at least save the poor from misleading contents.

And to those who lack compression too, there has to be a way to get them punished for commenting off point.

you are a fool........maybe because you do not have a bullet forever lodged in your body.....talking rubbish!

And you're a bigger fool if you truly believed over 70 people died that night according to that lying DJ twitch. It's going to 4 years now, why is it so hard to reveal their identities? What is so special about them that their identities will be concealed for so long? No blood splatter at the aftermath to indicate that multiple people were shot on that location. She uploaded a fake Live video because she knows that there are a lot of idiotic gullible Nigerians that will react with emotions not logic

Some people were already pouring negative things about the subject, Dj switch. Now that news has turned in her favour, you all should go to the same media and tender your apologies.

Re: DJ Switch: Police Apologises To DJ Switch, Media Outfits Over Misleading News by papyjaypaul: 1:40pm On Apr 18
@dominique, even the DJ Switch you are dismissing was a subject at the Panel when the COS and other Lagos State Govt officials were invited to speak about the livestream.
Maybe you are not aware her video was tendered as evidence to the panel.

And you forget that a police officer whose duty is to give out information, if he gives wrong info, the blame will be on the force and not the individual itself ?

U need to know that when you speak as an individual is different from when you speak for a corporate body.

And as such, as an institution they can do what they just did and the matter won't be seen As bad itself....
