A driver in Lagos was detained by the police for cramming fifteen kids into a car

A driver was detained by members of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Department after packing fifteen children inside a Volkswagen Passat.

Around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, anxious bystanders on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge reported seeing the car.

When the police intervened, they discovered that the driver—who had been hired to drive the kids to the beach—had packed 11 kids in one car and confined four of them inside the trunk. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to preliminary investigations, one youngster had passed out earlier in the day from comparable transportation-related circumstances, but they had recovered after getting medical assistance.

Since then, the kids have been returned to their parents unharmed. In court, suspects would face charges.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has commended residents of Lagos State for always promptly alerting the authorities to suspicious persons/happenings.

Where were you when your child is packed like sardines just to go to beach?
If the child dies, you will come online and TV to say "The government must do something"....
