Rammi ayyad was the manager of the only christian bookstore in gaza before his abduction,tutore and murder in the year 2017 by unknown persons . ayyad a christian ,an activist and a father was murdered after the bookstore which was estabished in 1998 by the palestinian bible society was bombed twice suspected to be the handiwork of an islamist group called "the sword of truth " whose aim was to islamized region. after the murder of ayyad the christians felt more unsaved and unprotected in the environent which inhabit many jihadist,and islamist groups such as hamas which denied involvment in the murder. as of 2007 the number of christians in gaza was estimated to be 3,000 out of around 1.5 million total population of gaza. by 2011 the christian population of gaza had fell to around 1400 from 3000 in 2007 which was the effect of persecution, marginalization and relocations. rammi ayyad was put to death for the allegation of being a missionary and trying to spread christianity in gaza 1 Like 1 Share |
