A vast number of poultry farmers (small and medium scale farmers especially) in Nigeria are facing the difficulties with respect to the procurement of quality ay old chicks (DOC), poults and point of lays for their farms. These difficult task entails: a. finding/locating a reputable hatchery or vendor to hatch their products, b. failure of hatchery to supply at an agreed date with all sincerity and c. difficulties in identifying and buying quality DOC.
