Nnadozie Named Player Of The Match In Paris FC’s Defeat To PSG

Chiamaka Nnadozie was named Player of the Match in Paris FC’s defeat to PSG in the French women’s league playoffs semi-final game on Saturday night.

After regulation time ended 2-2, PSG went on to win 5-4 on penalty shootout.

Nnadozie was outstanding in the encounter as she made seven saves and also two clearances.

The other semi-final of the playoffs will see Olympique Lyon take on Stade de Reim today (Sunday).

Nnadozie and her teammates will face either Lyon or Stade de Reim in the third-place playoffs on Friday, 17 May 2024.

The two teams that advance to the playoffs final will qualify for the UEFA women’s Champions League for next season.

Paris FC stand a chance of also qualifying for next season’s Champions League if they win the third-place playoffs.

Rasheedat Ajibade was the hero for Atletico Madrid in the derby win against Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid won the derby against Real Madrid 2-3 at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.

With these three points, the club expanded its lead over Levante to three points and remained in third place with three days left in the league.

After a half-hour of play, Caroline Møller gave Madrid the lead.

But the equalizer came just three minutes later when Ana Vitória's imperial header met Menayo's corner kick to draw the match at halftime.

The second half could not have begun better for Atletico Madrid, as Rasheedat Ajibade stood alone against Misa and beat her high to make it 1-2.

Real Madrid's Kathellen Sousa equalized in the 70th minute, following a corner.

Vilde Boe Rosa scored a stunning goal into the top corner late in the game, giving Atletico Madrid a 2-3 victory at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Ajibade who was the Player of the Month did not feature for the entirety of the game.

She was in for 76 minutes and was substituted for Risa who scored the winning goal.

Ajibade will aim to continue her good form as Atletico Madrid wrap up their league campaign in a few weeks.
