Multiple sources, including Premium Times, have reported that the Nigerian Army has begun the retirement process for 29 generals following the appointment of Farouk Yahaya as chief of Army Staff. Despite earlier claims by Defence Headquarters that no personnel had been retired, the generals’ retirement was confirmed in a memo. Very good so that new people will come on board. 29 Generals - too too small for retirement, i was especting about hundred or so because these men couldn't secure Nigeria as Generals. We need fresh young brains that will go in there and smoke out terrorists and not the ones that will pamper them. |
