Iraq suicide bomber kills many Shia pilgrims on bus Victims of the attack were taken to the morgue at Samarra's hospital The explosion took place just outside the Sunni-majority city of Samarra, north of Baghdad. A police source at a hospital in Samarra told Reuters news agency that a number of women and children were among the injured. Violence in Iraq has dropped sharply since the height of the conflict in 2006-07, but bombings are still common. Attacks on Shia pilgrims are so frequent that they have claimed hundreds of lives in recent months, says the BBC's Jonathan Head in Baghdad "About 27 people were killed and about 20 were wounded by a suicide bomber who targeted a bus filled with Shia pilgrims on a highway just outside Samarra," AFP news agency quoted a hospital official as saying. Samarra houses an important mosque and shrine to the 9th Century imam Hassan al-Askari. The bus full of pilgrims was leaving Samarra after visiting the shrine when the bomb exploded, police said. It is unclear if the attacker used a car bomb or was wearing an explosives vest. On Thursday, at least eight people were killed when a car bomb in the town of Dujail struck pilgrims heading to Samarra to celebrate Saturday's annual commemoration of the imam's death. The gold-domed al-Askari mosque was largely destroyed in a massive bombing in 2006, an attack blamed for starting the 2006-07 wave of sectarian bloodshed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12440175 |

first of all the evil intended by "aloy" will do no harm to muslims.this thread was started to taunt muslims.anyways, people like "aloy" who lack internal peace in their lives and also peace in their communities cannot afford to give peace to others.you should preach in igboland where christianity reign supreme the message of love.tell them to stop kidnapping,hired-killing,drug trafficking, ritual killing, hooliganism,ra.pe,armed robbery and so one.so you got lot of work to do at your own backyard. These acts sectarian acts particularly in iraq and pakistan are common especially in Muharram during Ashura which commemorates the martydom of Imam Hussain (as).the criminal acts are mostly done by al-qaeda and salafist/wahhabi movement inspired fanatics who are giving Islam a bad image worldwide and doing the enemies of Islam good by tarnishing our image and giving our rightful causes bad name. the sunnis themselves in Iraq have suffered from alqaeda and the wahhabi freaks.as you can see below, even mainstream sunni scholars have not been spared:

I have a sunni friend who confided in me that shias are not muslims; she claims they are largely terrorists and gestapo mercenaries who mask as muslims. All I did was preach to her to love one another because there is no gain in wars and terrorism destroying the Muslim world. My two uncles are Sunnis and I don't know what they think about shias. Shias are like outcasts in many muslim communities but I am committed to end that discrimination against them. It MUST stop. |

^^^ You will discover from debating here , that Shias are the more violent and intolerant type of Muslim. And when I call them Muslim, this is subject to debate as quite a few Sunnis and other Muslim sects consider them to be Kafirs. For example, have you ever heard of a Muslim who is disallowed from going to Mecca to pay pilgrimage. Shias are banned from the Haj due to their corruption caused by the worshipping of the dead !!! |

Why do Sunnis refer to shias as kaafir?. Is that what Allah will do if he came to this world. |
