Didn't read all of the posts b/c there was too much rubbish, but just in case anyone was actually wondering the goal of wear the belt higher is to accentuate curves. It creates the look of a narrow middle, producing the elusive hourglass figure. Some women do it to try to hide their stomachs, but it's not good for that purpose. Many women of other races do it themselves or buy outfits where it's already done. It's not tacky when done well and not worn all the time.
