I am young working-class Nigeria and i want to start investing in shares/ stockmarket. I dont know if there is a difference between this 2, or are they the same? I need some lessons on how to go about this. |

there's a thread in the "business" section titled "stock market tips for nigerians". most, if not all, of ur questions would be answered there. shares/stocks are traded in the stock market. |

@ adeniyi83 Based on your question, i believe share is an english word getting part of the worth of the company, so u are entitle bonus and dividend which is part of the money the company makes. then i guess stock market is a kind of investing into stocks. so u could purchase stocks from companies selling their IPO(initial public offer). so based on your question they are more of the same thing with slight difference in stock market we have future, bond, stocks etc. but dont be confused they all serve virtually same purpose. Though am not a broker but am an investor so i have little ideas on stock and i tend to pick enough interest in it. I wish u well, invest wisely |
