Let's Move On From Spiritual Milk’ by yommyuk: 5:05am On Dec 15, 2011
Hebrew 5:12-13
“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.”

Lack of spiritual vitality is shocking if found in people who have been believers over a long period. By now, they ought to have attained the role of spiritual leadership; teaching others from their wealth of knowledge and Christian experience.

Spiritual milk means the basic truth of the Gospel. Spiritual milk is a good thing Christians should crave according to 1 Peter 2:2. However, just as a young child should grow to be able to eat meat, so should we.

Hebrews 5:14
“Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognise the difference between right and move.
Being able to discern between right and wrong at all times and all places is a defining characteristics of spiritual maturity.

That should be our aim and goal.

God bless wink
