How could he possibly have put a thread over here?  I have been on the site regularly for over a year, and I had no idea this sub-section existed. 

I'd create another thread in General or Romance.  Forget their stinking rules. lol.  If they like, let them delete the thread.  Put a signature under your profile linking the Nominations thread. 

That could backfire of course, if you've made enemies already.
