Any anyone tell me which one of these cars are better in terms of spare part availbility and mechanic handlings
(please note we are located in ibadan not lagos, so we dont have full diagonisation and good auto shops here)
eg BMW 525 vs MERC 350.

If you havent already bought one, i'd go with the Mercedes. While both are good cars, the Mercedes beats out the BMW as far as being able to find auto garages or mechanics that understand the mechanical workings of the car. The BMW also has more electircal issues than the mercedes, reason being the car is run by a "central nervous system" that tends to trip off occasionally under duress and you probably wont be able to find a mechanic that can clear faults in the middle of the road if you have a breakdown. These are just some of the WORST CASE SCENARIOS. German cars are great cars. Reliability just depends on prior use/maintenance. What you put into a car is what you'll get.
